Hiding from his past and avoiding his future, Jin subscribed to a life of stagnancy until the time came when he had to stop running. Nevertheless, he saw the error in his ways, and while he wanted to be free of his curse, he instead remained a nomad and did what he could to survive. In fact, his desire to be free of the curse has led him to cause World War III and nearly put him on an even darker path than his father's. Jin Kazama has spent his life wrestling with his Devil Gene.
